Another positive response for the 2026 season of the ROK Talk Show, the web programme dedicated to post-race analysis of the ROK Cup. The eighth episode, which aired on our Facebook page last Thursday, 6 August at 9.00 pm, reached over 72,000 people (as on August 10^th, 2026).

Hosted by Matteo Bobbi –  technical expert at Sky Sport F1 and a driver with an enviable career in karting, Formula 1 and GT racing – the programme looked back at the seventh round of the ROK Cup Italia, held on 1st–2nd August at the Franciacorta Karting Track in Castrezzato (BS), featuring highlights from the championship’s seven categories (Mini ROK U10, Mini ROK, Junior ROK, Senior ROK, Expert ROK, Super ROK and Shifter ROK) and interviews with the key protagonists.

Among them was Mathias Drexler, who secured victory in the Mini ROK class with a decisive overtaking manoeuvre just a few metres from the finish line: “On the final lap, I caught up with Ghazi Almekdad and Aleksander Pelikanski and, at the last corner, I cut across their line, finishing the race in first place. I’m very proud: this is my first victory in the ROK Cup Italia.”

David Moscardi (Junior ROK) also secured his first win, having come close on several occasions throughout the season: “It’s a victory I built up over the weekend. This time I managed to have a bit of luck too, whereas in previous races it had been the opposite.”

Marco Massironi was the star of the Expert ROK class, securing pole position and winning both the pre-final and the final: “I built on my performance from the previous race here at Franciacorta in May. We worked well in all the sessions, although the final was more difficult because the track was slippery. Andrea Sorbello did well to warm up his tyres and tried to attack me in the opening laps, but he didn’t manage it and from then on I was able to set my own pace.”

Finally, Marco Chiarello (Shifter ROK) secured victory at the end of a long and closely fought battle with Riccardo Rigodanza throughout the entire event: “This time, the win was hard-fought. Despite a few mistakes and the difficulties of the weekend, I managed to bring it home.”

As usual, the episode also featured in-depth content. Viewers were able to explore the Franciacorta circuit through an onboard clip filmed with Riccardo Brangero, a leading driver in the Senior ROK category. There was also a segment focusing on technical scrutineering, which provided a closer look at the work carried out by the stewards to ensure all competitors comply with the regulations.
