ROK Talk Show: watch the episode dedicated to the final round of the ROK Cup Italia

ROK Cup Italia | 24 Set 2026

The ROK Talk Show has once again attracted a huge audience for the grand finale of the 2026 ROK Cup Italia season. The ninth episode of the web programme dedicated to post-race coverage of the Vortex one-make series, which premiered on our Facebook page last Thursday, 17th September, reached almost 52,000 followers (as at 21st September, 2026).

The episode focused on the final and decisive round of the ROK Cup Italia, which, at South Garda Karting in Lonato del Garda (BS), saw the titles awarded in the seven competing categories (Mini ROK U10, Mini ROK, Junior ROK, Senior ROK, Expert ROK, Super ROK and Shifter ROK). Mara Sangiorgio, a Sky Sport F1 journalist and keen karting enthusiast, provided a recap of the actions on the track, supported by highlights and post-race interviews.

Among the drivers who spoke to our microphones, Mattia Pellin explained how he managed to gain his first victory in the Mini ROK class: “This morning we did not perform with a good start, as we’d hoped for; we finished sixth in the qualifyings, but we knew we had good pace and could use the pre-final and final to make up ground. In the final, I took advantage of the chaos behind me to pull away and this way I could go straight on to win.”

Iven Ammann, meanwhile, claimed victory in the Junior ROK class at the end of a particularly eventful final: “I wasn’t expecting it, although I knew it was possible. I did well in the warm-up, but in the qualifyings I made a mistake and ran into too much traffic, so I couldn’t complete a clean lap. The final was really strange, marked by crashes and collisions, but overall it went well.”

In the Expert ROK class, Alessandro Viganò celebrated the title at the end of a weekend that, on the eve, looked anything but straightforward: “Honestly, until a few days ago, I would never have expected to be able to win. I’d even considered not taking part in this race: between work commitments and having lost a bit of pace in the last few rounds, I thought it would be very difficult to win the championship. Yesterday’s qualifying went so-so: I finished third, with Andrea and Massironi, my main rivals, ahead of me. Today, however, everything went well in both the pre-final and the final.”

Giuseppe Gaglianò completed the Super ROK season by securing both championship and victory in the final round: “It’s a very important result because, ahead of the Superfinal, we’ve shown we’re quick both on a single lap and over the race distance. I expected to be in contention for the title, but my rivals were also very strong.” “Riccardo Ferrari is an excellent driver and he really made me work hard in every race: it wasn’t easy at all.”

Once again, the programme featured its usual in-depth content. A highlight on the Expert ROK series draw attention to how karting can be enjoyed by people of all ages, even those trying the sport for the first time. In addition, some of the Rokkers took part in a fun challenge, in which they tried to guess the exact weight of five different ROK engine components.
