ROK Talk Show: about the latest episode 2024 dedicated to the ROK Cup Festival
ROK Cup Festival | 11 Dic 2024
The 2024 season of the ROK Talk Show, the traditional after-race event of the one-make series by Vortex, has come to an end with a large audience throughout the year. Last Thursday, 5th December, at 9pm, the eleventh and final episode of the year aired on our Facebook page, with over 39,000 followers (as of 9th December 2024).
Born four years ago with the aim of involving more and more fans in the world of karting, the ROK Talk Show confirmed once again this year to be a very popular showcase for the sport. In fact, over the course of the season, we reached an average of more than 36,000 viewers per episode (+2,000 compared to the figure recorded in 2023) and a seasonal record of 46,000 people on the occasion of two episodes, those dedicated to the ROK Cup Italy grand final (in September) and the ROK Cup Superfinal (in October).
In the last episode of the 2024 season, as always, many were the guests from all the six categories (Mini ROK, Junior ROK, Senior ROK, Expert ROK, Super ROK and Shifter ROK) which went to the Franciacorta Karting Track in Castrezzato (BS) for the ROK Cup Festival, accompanied by the charismatic conduction of Matteo Bobbi, Sky Sport F1 technical expert and driver with an enviable career in karting, Formula 1 and GT competitions.
Among them, Alessandro Nanni and Victor Gorun - protagonists of the Mini ROK final, which was defined by just 34 thousandths of a second - who told our microphones about the last moments of the race: on the one hand, the Italian driver explained the defensive action applied in the last corner, on the other hand, the Romanian driver who with great honesty acknowledged some mistakes made in the final metres that did not allow him to cross the finish line first.
After a continuous growth in terms of results throughout the year, Massimiliano Pezzucchi ended the 2024 with his first title in Shifter ROK and in the studio, he talked about his driving strategy during the final race, spent containing his rivals in the early laps after having inherited the leading role from the poleman Marco Chiarello, who ended up spinning at the first corner just after the start.
With Gabriel Moretto, who came second in the Senior ROK final, the ROK Talk Show finally takes the opportunity to explain the importance of karting experience when shifting to car racings. Indeed, the Italian explained how karting competitions have helped him to improve his race management, a crucial aspect in his debut season in the car championships.
